Why this one
The bit you already remember
You spent thousands of hours looking directly at it without once seeing it. It was the thing behind the thing. Then somebody in a white shirt walked across it at the top of a run-up, and the whole ground groaned at once, and for one second it was the most important object in the world.
One large off-white rectangle, placed high and slightly left on a saturated ground. That is the whole design. No text on the front at all; the name is printed small on the back hem.
Three grounds, each the colour of a different kind of afternoon: bottle green, maroon, and the pale washed blue of a day too bright to watch properly.
It is the most abstract thing we make and the one people ask about most, which we are choosing to take as a good sign.
